What restaurants are open to the public?
Stillwell’s Steakhouse and Bar, Isabelle’s, and Babou’s are open to both guests and visitors. Our two rooftop dining experiences, Léonie and Pomelo, are open exclusively for hotel guests to maintain their privacy and comfort. However, Léonie welcomes the public for Afternoon Tea on weekends.
Where does the name “Swexan” come from?
The name Hôtel Swexan is a heartfelt tribute to the developer’s generational roots, blending Switzerland and Texas into one. The story began when a young Swiss visionary journeyed to Texas and fell in love—not only with the breathtaking sunsets over the Dallas skyline but also with a Texan woman whose spirit reflected the land’s boundless beauty.
Together, they built a life and family in Dallas, channeling their shared dreams into the creation of the Harwood District. This vibrant community celebrates the warmth of Texas and the precision of Swiss craftsmanship. Are pets allowed in the hotel?
Not only are pets allowed, but we ensure their stay is as luxurious as yours. With dog walking services and our puppy playlist featured in Vogue, we provide unparalleled services for your furry companion. We do require a $150 non-refundable pet fee per stay and only allow dogs under 35 pounds to ensure a comfortable experience for all.

What is your smoking policy?
At Hôtel Swexan, we strive to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all guests. As such, smoking is prohibited inside the hotel and within guest rooms. A $300 cleaning fee will be applied to any guest room or area where smoking occurs. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our hotel a pleasant space for everyone.
